Pair of French 19th Century Charles X Style Bronze and Marble Pot Pourri Urns
About the Item
A beautiful pair of French 19th century Charles X st. Vert Patricia marble, ormolu and patinated bronze pot pourri urns. Each urn is raised by a square marble base with beautiful richly chased ormolu wrap around foliate band. The square pedestal support is decorated on all sides by striking foliate wreaths with an arrow. The patinated bronze pot pourri urn above displays a fluted socle pedestal and beautiful scrolled foliate handles that lead up each side in a rich satin and burnished finish. The patinated bronze urn displays fine palmettes and a hammered design at the body and a beaded band at the top lip. The lid is pierced with striking foliate shaped and is centered by a topie shaped ormolu finial. All original gilt throughout.
