Pair of French 19th Century Renaissance St. Bronze Urns, Signed Leon Boucher

About the Item

A handsome pair of French 19th century Renaissance st. patinated bronze, ormolu and Rouge Griotte marble urns, signed Leon Boucher. Each urn is raised by a circular mottled Rouge Griotte marble base with a fine ormolu bottom band. The socle pedestals displays a lovely wrap around foliate band and a decorative fluted design. The body displays finely chased scenes of Bellerophon and Pegasus as well as Perseus on Pegasus. At each side are elegant scrolled foliate handles and at the neck is a fine foliate band with a smooth central cabochon. All original patina throughout.
