About the Item

A stunning and most elegant pair of French late 19th century Neo-Classical st. Campan Vert marble and Ormolu urns. Each most striking urn is raised by a square Campan Vert marble base supporting an Ormolu socle with a gadrooned neck. The marble body of the urn is flanked by delightful Ormolu curved swan neck handles linked together with richly chased floral garlands and tied with ribbons in the front and back. Above is the finely chased Ormolu rim and lid decorated with acanthus leaves and topped with a large acorn finial.
