Pair of 20th Century Italian Neoclassical Glazed White Pottery Urns. Stunning set of pottery urns that feature Greek motifs, depicting gods, goddesses, and mythological scenes. Semi-nude floating Goddesses draped in cloth adorn each side of the urns and are to be to used as handles. The urn itself pictures scenes of men, women and children, and Greek scrollwork rendered in the graceful style associated with neoclassical aesthetics. These urns are significant both as art objects and as symbols of cultural sophistication. Can be use indoors or outdoors as planters or stand alone art pieces.
