Pair Qing Dinasty Antique Chinese Foo Dogs Protected Ceramic "Fang Ding"

About the Item

Absolutely rare and beautiful pair Chinese Qing dynasty porcelain and rich decorated "Fang Ding". The lidded jars are richly decorated with enamel and hand-painted and gilt accents and has upturned male Fu / Foo dogs handels, for protection of the exterior and a lid with a female Fu / Foo dog to protect the inside. Each Fang Ding is raised on four shaped legs with mean animal heads joined to the body and terminating in paw claws. Both are in overall good condition and together the form a highly decorative piece antique ceramic to complete your interior.

    Wear consistent with age and use. During the production there appears one hairline in one of the Fang Ding top-base around the lid. It's photographed. The gilt around the polychromed images has become pore true the years at both urns.
