1950s Anatole Riecke Etched Crystal Vase with Decorative Cubist Motif

About the Item

This vase was designed by Anatole Riecke, a Russian glass artist renowned for his role in the Parisian Art Deco movement. Based in Paris, Riecke became particularly known for his decorative glass works. From 1930 to 1937, he designed the glass decorations for the famous "La Coupole" restaurant in Paris. The vase's twisted shape gives it strength and originality. It is soberly decorated with glass cabochons and engraved with abstract and cubist motifs in natural green pigments, evoking the Art Deco era. Unique piece. Signed and dated 07/06/1954.
