19th Century Gilt Gold Decorative Covered Urn
About the Item
19th century gilt gold with exterior hand painted scene design details covered decorative urn / piece. The exterior garden scene details was painted by W. Schnider. The covered urn feature a baluster form, with two handles formed from a man's head. One side of the vase features a scene titled "unter Amors Fuhrung" . The other side features a scene titled "Bei Der Nymphe". Both signed W. Schneider lower right of each scene, Bei Der Nymphe Numbered 1556. The piece stands about 24 inches High x 12 inches diameter.
