Majolica pheasant vase signed Jerome Massier Vallauris Alpes Maritimes circa 1890.
The Massier are known for the quality of their unique enamels and paintings. The Massier family produced different pieces with birds in a very creative style in Vallauris on the French Riviera; they excelled in the representation of all animals at the end of 19th century: birds, roosters, parrots, donkeys, frogs. They participated with success at different nationals and internationals exhibitions.
