19th Century Porcelain Serves Vase In Magnificent Cobalt-Blue & Ormolu, c.1846
About the Item
Antique mid-19th Century French fine Serves vase, exquisitely covered in rich cobalt blue glaze over porcelain ground. The base applied with large cast ormolu acanthus leaves, elabarate scroll side handles and decorative finial cast as snowdrop flowers. The porcelain is adorned with stunning bouquets of flowers throughout, the front is decorated with a Royal suspended order, surrounding the French Royal crowned shield-shaped crest with three fleur-de-lis. The square porcelain base mounted in Ormolu, the panels decorated with floral bouquets within laurel leaves reserves. Underneath underglaze Sevres 1844, Chateau Des Tuileries.
