About the Item

Antique 19th century Royal Vienna Belle époque Porcelain moon flask. This extraordinary Royal Vienna porcelain moon flask is magnificent decorated with a very fine portrait painting of a classical Belle époque girl. The finely rendered hand painted enamel miniature is set in a gold leaf background and is surrounded by an arrangement of colorful flowers. The opposite side of the flask also has an contains flower and butterfly motif. The surrounding band is painted with a delicate lattice design. Although the artwork is unsigned, it is a masterpiece. Condition is good. Wear is commensurate with age and use. The bottom has a drilled hole for adapting a lamp. Dimensions: 11 ½” H x 10” W x 3” D Weight: 2 lbs 12 oz.
