About the Item
The name "Nocturnes" immediately recalls the famous piano compositions of Fryderyk Chopin, characterized by dreamy, intimate and often melancholy atmospheres. The vases bearing this name are inspired by these very feelings, translating into visual forms the delicacy, depth and poetry that pervade Chopin's Nocturnes. Like the notes of a melody silently unfolding in the night, these vases reflect a refined aesthetic that captures the essence of a dream or fleeting thought with soft lines, muted colors, and a shape that seems to suggest the flow of the music itself.
The vases in the Notturni collection are handmade in Murano, mouth-blown by master glassmakers, using the decorative technique of "incamiciato glass," also called "submerged glass." In this specific case, the technique consists of soaking a mass of hot black glass in crucibles containing molten transparent glass, thus obtaining overlapping layers, black on the inside and transparent on the outside. It is then blown and sandblasted in order to achieve the effect of suggestive depth that characterizes the Notturni vases.
The Notturni vases bear the Kanz signature, and the year of manufacture, hand-engraved on the base, guaranteeing their authenticity.
The dimensions of the three are as follows:
