American Blackware Pottery Jar Vase Mata Ortiz Style

Mata Ortiz style beautiful hand-turned geometric blackware vase, black on black.
The round pottery piece is made of black glaze clay and etched with a unique geometric arrow design in the style of the potter of Mata Ortiz.
The artists of Mata Ortiz are identified by their neighborhood or barrio in the village and the style of their work is often influenced by the designs of their family or friends who live there.
Family ties and traditions are considered to be important.
There are now several hundred potter artists working in the Mata Ortiz tradition.
There is a signature and a design arrow on the bottom but not sure what it means.
Hand made in North America, circa late 20th c., great decorative pottery for a Modern or Ethnic Rustic Decor.
