Antique Early Meiji Japanese Cloisonne Enamel Goldstone Mount Fuji Vase

About the Item

An antique Japanese Meiji period goldstone vase, attributed to Honda Yasaburo, an artist active from the 1870s to 1910. The vase features two intricately detailed plaques on its body - one depicting a majestic phoenix bird, symbolizing renewal and beauty, and the other portraying the iconic Mount Fuji. The neck of the vase is adorned with vibrant floral decorations. Gilt brass outer rims and rings contribute to the ornate detailing, showcasing the meticulous attention to detail characteristic of Meiji period art. Circa the early 20th century.
