Antique Early Meiji Japanese Cloisonne Enamel Vases

About the Item

A pair of antique Japanese, early Meiji era, Translucent enamel over gilt copper vases. The exteriors of the wares are adorned with polychrome enamel designs representing bugs in blossoming flowers surrounded by a cloud ornament made in the Cloisonne technique. The necks and the bases are decorated with floral, foliate scroll, and geometrical patterns made in the same technique. One is signed, on the bottom. Circa: 1868 to 1877. Antique and Vintage Asian Collectibles, Oriental Enamel Vases, Home Decor And Collectibles. Dimensions: H 3 in. D 2 3/4 in. All measurements are approximate. Condition Overall good vintage condition. Signs of wear and age. Has some stains and scuffs. Has chips and cracks. Refer to photos.
