This is an antique Flaminian vase. An English, ceramic baluster flower vase in Art Nouveau taste by William Moorcroft (1872-1945) for Liberty of London, dating to the Edwardian period, circa 1910. Striking example of Edwardian art pottery Displaying a desirable aged patina - small chips to base visible under close inspection Classic baluster form with an appealing wash of green colour Known as the Flaminian pattern, the Art Nouveau decoration is a delight Accentuated with cobalt blue, medallions of leaf motif decorate the globular body Short, flared rim with an opening diameter of 6cm (2.25") To the base, the maker's mark for Liberty of London; 'Made for Liberty & Co' Hand-signed to the base by Moorcroft with a registration number - 455777 This is a desirably presented antique Flaminian vase by the renowned partnership of William Moorcroft for Liberty of London. Rich in colour and Art Nouveau taste, this appealing vase will grace any room. Delivered polished and ready for the home.
