Antique Islamic Mamluk 16th Century Glazed Fritware Ceramic Jar Vase

About the Item

This antique ceramic jar or vase is believed to be from the 15th century and is of the Mamluk period. It is made of a sandy earthenware and features a thick glaze. The jar is decorated with polychrome handpainted floral elements in green to the body and blue circles on the top of the rim, the lower base is unglazed on the outside. This is a truly unique and highly collectible decorative item for any collector or lover of antique ceramics. Measurements: Diameter: approx. 15,5cm / 6.1" Height: approx. 20cm / 7.9" Weight: 888g.
