Antique Meiji Japanese Cloisonne Enamel Rooster Vase
About the Item
A large Japanese amphora shaped enamel over brass vase. The vase is enameled with polychrome images of a rooster and a hen in flowers and leaves made in the Cloisonne technique on turquoise ground. The neck and the base of the ware are enameled with polychrome foliage, floral and geometrical motifs made in the Cloisonne technique. Circa: the first half of the 20th century. Unmarked.
