Antique Meiji Japanese Cloisonne Enamel Vase with Blossoming Wisteria Tree

About the Item

An antique Japanese, late Meiji period, enamel over brass vase. The vase has an amphora shaped body and a tall narrow neck. The ware is enameled with a polychrome image of wisteria blossoming flowers on the black ground made in the Cloisonne technique. The base of the vase is adorned with a polychrome foliage motif made in the same technique. Unmarked. Circa: late 19th century Attributed to Ota Dimensions: H 6 in. All measurements are approximate. Condition Overall good vintage condition. Signs of wear and Age. Refer to photos.
