Archimedes Seguso imperial unique and rare lattimo glass vase. 1955-1960

About the Item

Production Italy 1960 ca. Milky glass vase, oval body on cylindrical foot, pronged mouth with wire decoration along neck, circular base. Blown glass work made by Archimede Seguso in the early 1950s Telling a little about this glass master: He immediately began working, becoming a master as early as 17 years old in the furnace where his father was a partner, until the crisis of 1929. He then founded his workshop, which became the family glassworks and was transformed into Soffieria Barovier Seguso & Ferro and then in 1933 into Seguso Vetri d'Arte, a company that marked the development of glass in the following decades. He collaborated with relevant importance with art director and designer Flavio Poli. With this family glassworks Archimede Seguso separated in 1944, founding his Archimede Seguso Artistic Glassworks. Here he was able to range by reusing ancient blowing techniques and ferried eighteenth-century filigree by reworking it and inventing famous ''Filigrees'' such as ''Lace,'' ''Feathers,'' etc., as well as experimenting with other techniques with a varied color palette. He experimented with and made glass of great personality with overlapping colors and strong color contrasts in the ''Submerged'' technique... An Imperial vase that adapts in the modern age unique and rare, from the milky glass that also creates some iridescent colors with a light on it.
