About the Item

Rare and richly glazed Art Nouveau Jardinière with pedestal, crafted in the early 1900s, combining sculptural elegance with botanical charm. A great example of the elegance of the turn of the Art Nouveau Century. Stamped on the underside with Massier & Vallauris, this piece originates from the renowned Massier family workshop in Vallauris, on the French Riviera. The Massier are known for the quality of their unique enamels and paintings. This jardinière showcases the family's artistic excellence through its deep burgundy glaze with golden highlights, and a sculptural tripod base adorned with stylized botanical reliefs. Though a crack is present on the upper leg—visible in the photos—the piece retains its structural integrity and decorative appeal. Take into account that the colors on the items may vary depending on the type of lighting and the type of screen from which you see the images. A crack in the upper leg. Visible in the photos.
