Baluster type vase. Porcelain. Taisho period, Japan, 1912-1926. With marks on the base. Baluster vase (due to its shape) in Hirado porcelain enameled in brown with iron oxide varnish and two scepter-shaped handles on the top. Hirado is a type of porcelain made mainly in Mikawachi, Sasebo and Nagasaki, in the former feudal territory of Hirado, owner of the kilns and responsible for production. The Taisho period is that under the rule of the emperor of the same name, and spanned from July 30, 1912 to December 25, 1926. · Size: 15x15x27 cms International Buyers – Please Note: for those articles that need Export Permits (those older than 100 years), the obtaining of the Permit will be processed without additional expenses (if you choose the seller sends it to you), but the period for the obtention of it may vary from 10 to 35 days.
