Contemporary Handmade Brass Flower Vase by Ilaria Bianchi is entirely handmade in brass, this sculptural and geometrical vase is suitable both for Classic and contemporary decor. With its delicate poetry, it completes the domestic environment.
This vase is proudly handmade in Italy (Milan) by a master metalworker's family business run for four generations. The object is 100% brass and the finished is mirrored, making it sculptural and delicate.
A mathematical series of cuts are executed on a brass Industrial profile, generating a vase with significant material flexibility. Its polished finish enlightens the space where is placed. Bicaudata is a new shape, that minimized the production impact and the material involved.
Like a fork-tailed mermaid, pressure and heat divide the Industrial profile that opens to embrace a flower into its center. Focused on the object of daily life, it gives it a status of sculpture capable of arousing emotion and creating an emotional bond.
Each piece is signed by Ilaria Bianchi.

Ilaria Bianchi is a multidisciplinary design studio based in Milan. She works for design studios, galleries, companies, and private clients. Ilaria started her own practice in 2015, after her degree in Industrial Design at the Polytechnic of Turin, and an MA in Ceramic, Furniture, and Jewelry Design at Central Saint Martins in London.
The studio works are shown in galleries, cultural centers, and international fairs such as the Victoria & Albert Museum, Triennale di Milano, Building Gallery, Dimore Gallery (Dimore Studio), Galleria Luisa delle Piane, Chamber NYC, MiArt, Stockholm Design Fair, London Design Fair, Salone del Mobile, and many others.
In 2021 Ilaria’s work was published with a double page in the book “Great Women Designers: Woman Made” by Phaidon. In 2020 she is selected by Elle Decor as a young designer of the year, in 2019 she is selected by AD Italia as one of the “7 designers of the future”. In 2018 she is selected by Elle Decor as Next designer of the year and her Duo Shelf project is one of the WallPaper* 2018 Design Award Winners.
