Vase in Ceramic by J Massier from Vallauris 1950, Blue and Black Color, France

About the Item

Jérôme Massier Fils's factory (1820-1909) will be sold to P. Perret on May 3, 1899. It will be taken over in October 1909 by his daughter Jeanne Massier and son-in-law Marc Clergue. In 1930, their son Jean Clergue continued manufacturing until 1953 using the stamp "J MASSIER Vallauris". This is the Stamp, we got under the Vase. This Vase is a very modern style for Massier's production, close to what will do later Ettore Sottsass.
