Burmantofts Faience Ox Blood Red Glazed Art Pottery Vase
About the Item
A stylish Burmantofts Faience art pottery vase decorated in ox blood red glazes and dating from around 1890. The earthenware flask shaped vase stands on a wide round foot rim with a wide round base narrowing into a tall slender neck with a slightly widening top with a simple angle finished top rim. The body of the vase is decorated with rich ox blood glazes and is marked BF to the base and is numbered 1531.
Provenance: From a small collection of Burmantofts acquired from a single source and acquired from the UK Art Market
In good condition with some surface scratches and marks to the lower body of the vase.
