About the Item

A vintage pewter and brass metal vase. Created during the mid-20th century, around the 1960s, in China. The vase is adorned with a figural scene of a tree peony in full bloom. Depicted with paper thin brass sheet, meticulously cut and detailed with embossed strokes . This warm and glowing brass is set atop a contrasting base of pewter metal, expertly turned and polished to enhance its deep grey tones. A beautiful combination of metals and shapes that come together to create a striking vase. The vase does show signs of wear, but it still maintains its integrity.
