About the Item
A large antique Chinese Qing Dynasty period brown glazed jar from the 19th century with petite loop handles, geometric medallions and rabbit motifs. Created in China during the 19th century, this vase features a narrow neck topped by a thick lip showcasing an opening of 6.75 inches diameter. A series a petite loop handles, through which a rope would have been passed to secure a top, adorns the top of the belly. Presenting a tapering silhouette, the body is accented with geometric motifs in medallions, followed by rabbits in the central section. The upper part boasts a dark brown glaze that is dripping over a lighter brown for the rest of the jar. With its subtle décor, warm color and nice proportions, this Qing Dynasty Chinese glazed jar with loop handles from the 19th century will make for a charming decorative addition to any home, perhaps displayed in a living room, foyer or under a patio.
