Cookie jar bucket - vase - in enamelled glass & pewter- 1880 Art Nouveau France

About the Item

Superb bucket, pot, Etruscan-shaped vase, from the Art Nouveau period. Circa 1880. French work in the style of the famous Legras glass and crystal workshops. This Pretty Cookie Bucket is made of beautifully crafted glass, decorated with colorful enamel Tulip or Iris flowers and foliage. The green, orange, pink and gold tones give a wonderful light catch to the glass. Frame and handle in finely chiseled pewter. The enamel decoration is entirely handmade. This pretty bucket can be used as a vase or a candle holder. The light reflects beautifully in the glass and enamel. In the style of Legras. Unsigned. France - Circa 1880
