About the Item

Sculptural vase carved by hand from a solid block of white Carrara marble, velvet finish. This vase reproduces, in a smaller version, the iconic sculptural vase PV03 designed by the Atelier Barberini & Gunnell, hand made in a limited edition for the Pieruga Marble collection. The customer can choose between a white Carrara marble velvet finish or marquina marble with polished finish. Vase dimensions: L 31 W 13 H 40 cm. 100% hand made in Italy. Marble is a natural material, every piece is unique as each marble block is different in veins and color shades. All of our creations are handmade by Italian artisans and can slightly vary in shape and size. This is to be considered as a guarantee of a handmade object. All Pieruga objects are made of precious and natural marbles and onyx. Marble is sensitive to acid-based liquids, especially a prolonged contact with substances such as wine, lemon, vinegar, fruit juices, cola and alcohol can stain the surface. Cleaning should be carried out with a soft sponge, water and neutral detergent. Do not use metallic or abrasive sponges, do not wash in the dishwasher, do not use in the microwave. The color of the marble after washing can undergo variations due to the humidity trapped in the surface's micro-pores. Once fully dried it will regain its original color. The brass inlays tend to oxidize over time, to make them return to shine again use a soft cotton pad soaked in a solution of water and traditional Marseille soap, gently rub over the brass inserts and rinse the surface thoroughly. We are against the use of chemical products, all Pieruga objects are processed and polished through long manual processes without the use of polishing liquids. IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING SHIPPING: We carefully pack all artworks in strong wooden crates to ensure safe transportation. This service is done directly in our atelier and is complimentary. All of our artworks travel with a shock watch system in order to monitor rough handling by shippers and movers.
