About the Item
I sculpted this porcelain vase vessel in a free and dynamic manner. I named it “Dissolved in the Mist”, as it exists on the delicate boundary between reality and imagination. Its form is undefined, its lines swirl like an old memory fading away. It was not born whole but rather shaped like a mass of clay touched by the wind, leaving traces of fleeting movement—like a damp veil dissolving into the mist.
It seems as if, in the next moment, it may no longer be there—a vessel not meant to contain anything but rather to serve as a testament to constant transformation. It holds both fragility and strength, an essence of continuous change, like a landscape vanishing into the morning light or a thought dissipating before it fully takes shape.
It does not demand permanence but rather embraces the beauty of impermanence. It whispers of things that exist only for a moment before they shift, melt, or fade away. Does it truly dissolve, or does it merely transform into something new? Perhaps nothing ever truly disappears—it simply reshapes itself, flowing like mist, caught between presence and absence.
