Dutch Delft Polychrome Vase with Flowers and Birds, Mid 18th Century

About the Item

Fine Dutch Delft vase with decoration is flowers and birds. Origin: Delft, The Netherlands Date: 1724 - 1764 Workshop: De Porceleyne Schotel (The Porcelain Dish) By: Jan Pennis A very fine painted polychrome Dutch Delft vase with birds and flowers. The main scene is two birds on a branch from a tree, from which two more branches are painted with wonderful flowers. Such delicate and fine painting is rare to find. Another sign of quality is that both the lid and vase bare the makers mark IP, for Jan Pennis. The top of the lid is closed by a lion, who looks quite funky.
