About the Item

This stunning European, German made hand thrown stoneware clay vase was designed and made by Hans-Georg Fischer in 2009. Beautiful, almost discus like form of the body of the vase is decorated with a wonderful brown glaze of differing hues - finished with a delightfully spiral carved / lathed raw / unglazed clay neck. The piece has the look, style and feel of pieces of vintage Mid-Century Modern art pottery from the late 1960s, 1970s and 1980s, although it was made in 2009. Beautiful example of studio art pottery and certainly not produced in any high numbers - may be a unique piece.
