Exciting 3 parts of the famous Flygsfors Coquille mid 19th century glass vase

About the Item

Paul Kedelv - the great designer behind the great success Coquille at Flygsfors Gustaf Paul William Kedelv b. Karlsson, born on April 12, 1917 in Orrefors, Kalmar county, died on September 2, 1990 in Reijmyre, Östergötland county, was a Swedish glass designer. Kedelv started working as a student in the drawing studio at Orrefors glassworks in 1931 with supervisors such as Simon Gate and Edward Hald. From 1949 to 1956, Kedelv was active at Flygsfor's glass factory, where he, among other things, designed 39 models of Coquille glass and products in sub-capture glass. Between 1956 and 1977 he worked at the Reijmyre glassworks. Kedelv has also designed products for the Nybrofabriken in Fröseke and Fåglavik glassworks. Flygsfors and Paul Kedelv developed the Coquille technology to its perfection during the 50s, which was also the company's heyday with perhaps Europe's most expansive product development. 39 models were produced under Kedelv's leadership and there were a large number of size and color options. In a program/docus from 2015, third man in the Coquille workshop at Flygsfors, shows the glassblowers in “Workshop 12” at Kosta how the technology works. Erik Sjöbeck who were involved under Kedelv's leadership show how advanced and difficult it is to get the right shapes and figures - a true work of art by a fantastically talented group. Easy to spend money on! These particular 3 for sale, which are sold together in a group, are more on the playful side but at the same time quiet and are technically very advanced to manufacture. Still there are those who is even far more advanced! Of these three vases #1 and #2 are from 1957 while #3 is from 1961 and with the following measurements (cm): #1 D=7 H=16 W=16 #2 D=8 H=27 W=12 #3 D=10 H=31 W=20
