F.A.L.A. Guido Niest Lega Argentata Sculptural Silvered Vase
About the Item
A “Lega” vintage sculptural silvered vase designed by master metalsmith Guido Niest and crafted by Fabbrica Artigianale Lavorazione Argento (F.A.L.A.).
Italy, circa 1980.
Signed on base.
Details:
Perfect for a tall single-stemmed flower such as an orchid or calla lily, this silver-plated metal vase is an focal point for an entryway, dining room or living room.
A single piece of thin metal is curved and folded to form the unconventional, fang-shaped silhouette complete with a small tear-shaped opening and dramatically sloped slides.
This vase is an ideal housewarming or anniversary gift.
About the maker:
F.A.L.A is an artistic journey that began fifty years ago in Cernobbio, north of Lake Como. F.A.L.A was founded in 1978 by four friends - Ermes Pasquin, Gianni Taroni, Gianni Ciapessoni, and Paolo Carugati - who strived to bring the grandeur of Italian artisan production to the public sphere. A leader in Italian silver manufacturing, under the direction of Ermes’s son, Paolo Pasquin, F.A.L.A is taking center stage in the international market, gaining fame and notoriety for the impeccable technique - rooted in traditional crafting methods - and the quality of all its pieces.
