Beautiful handcrafted midcentury handled vase or pitcher from Anduze. This eye-catching decorative object is in perfect condition and will enhance any table, countertop or shelf. Perfect with almost any color scheme. Color is a dark blue not black. Stamped Atelier les Cyclades, Anduze, some letters have faded which is age appropriate. Les Cyclades by Roland Zobel for Anduze, Roland Zobel is a French ceramist who has studied at the Bourges's Beaux Arts and at the international ceramic school of Faenza in Italy. He created his atelier Les Cyclades in Anduze inspired by Mediterranean mythologic universe. The technique of the handmade pottery in Anduze is centuries old. The story of the Vase d'Anduze began in the 16th century under the reign of Henry IV, when a potter was inspired by a Medici vase he had seen in Florence, Italy.
