A French Turn of the Century Louis XVI st. Ormolu and Glass vases

About the Item

A decorative and most elegant pair of French Turn of the Century Louis XVI st. Ormolu and Glass vases. Each beautifully decorated vase is raised by a smooth square base and topped by a stepped platform with dentil and foliate designs. Above the platform of each vase is the mottled fut leading up to the Glass body which is decorated with a laurel band and acanthus leaf designs. The champagne flute shaped tapered Glass body above is wonderfully designed with spiraling reeded designs and a tightly patterned scalloped rim.
