Vase with red currant decoration in frosted glass internally suffused with beige, brown and yellow at the base and purple cameo overlay with Lily leaf, signed "Galle," circa 1904-1918, height: 11,8" (30 cm).
In its style, the set is French Art Nouveau.
Émile Gallé was a French glass maker and furniture designer based in his hometown. His favorite motif, which he used a lot in his work, was the plant. There were also many insect motifs. Gallé was probably the greatest glass maker of all time and one of the founding father's of the Art Nouveau movement.
