Vintage Gien Faience Ewer and a Trinket Dish in Renaissance Decor, France 1970s

About the Item

A beautiful set of ceramic pieces by Gien France, 1970s-1980s. It comprises a jug and a small tray. The jug is hand-painted with a Renaissance design against a royal blue glazed background, skillfully crafted with attention to detail. The small tray is a delightful hand-painted trinket dish with a Gien Renaissance design. It has a dark blue background with orange and green fruit decorations in an Italian vase. Both items are marked Gien, France on the back and the painters' monogram. The jug is 26.5 cm high, the trinket is 11.5x7cm Both are in very good used condition, but the trinket has a minor defect on the rim. These Gien items are beautiful decorative elements and practical items that can be used in everyday life. The ewer is perfect for storing flowers and drinks; the trinket could be used as a ring tray or a pipe cup. These Gien France vases are the perfect choice if you want to add an elegant and refined accent to your home.
