An amazing handblown sommerso vintage art glass vase made by Bo Borgström for Åseda, Sweden. This vase has a fantastic shape and design, which is simple yet at the base there are spikes going upwards, bearing resemblance of stalagmites, yet it is the color that really makes it stand out. A fantastic emerald green surrounded with a clear base, this vase has a contemporary feeling to it and will be adding to any interior setting. It is in a very good condition and the price includes free shipping. It is 24cm high (9.44") and around 6cm (2.36") in diameter at the base. Åseda art and design glass; famous at times even seen as iconic, and for good reasons. This company produced some of the most interesting mid-century modern art and design glass vases and other objects in Sweden. Some of the best designers has contributed with the development of innovative and high-end art and design glass objects. Since the beginning of the 60's, the artist and designer Bo Borgström has been associated with the company and his work and design have given “Åsedaglaset” (the Aseda-glass) its own exclusive and prestigious design and style. Usually robust shapes and bold colors. Due to his skills, a substantial part of their production were sales abroad both in Europe, North America and Australia.
