With a nod to the spontaneity and privileged imperfection that is the human condition, all of my pieces imbue an energy of function and whimsy.
The Green Lava 1 slipware vessel embodies a molten feel with antique white and dark green slip with an organic sgraffito relief pattern. Black iron oxide wash highlights the craters of the shape and relief elements. The deep black clay grounds the earthen form, embracing the touch of the artist hand. This vase is primed for functionality; versatile in its accessible shape and size. Green Lava 1 is intentionally playful and sophisticated in order to fit seamlessly into a myriad of decor styles, including Mid Century Modern, Contemporary, Bohemian and Classical.
