Hand Turned Vintage Pine Vase Sculpture
About the Item
Vintage hand turned pine vase shape sculpture. dating from the 1970s. Made from Pitch Pine, the shape of the sculpture shows the wonderful grain of the Pine. Very skillfully turned, the hollow to the neck of the vase is halfway down the piece, the bulbous part of the vase remains solid.
This piece was turned from Pine originally used as door frames and dates from the 19th Century
Cork to the underside, inscribed Lawford Ro Shop Door Frame 1898
In very nice vintage condition, lovely mellow colour to the wood.
