About the Item
20th Century Art Glass Vase by David Goldhagen (b. 1959). Goldhagen is an award-winning studio artist based in North Carolina and a graduate of Tulane University, where he trained under leading figures in the American studio art glass movement. This striking handblown vase is a masterful expression of color, movement, and form. The tear-drop silhouette rises to a graceful point, its surface swirling with ribbons of vivid colors of blue, gold, purple and green, all encapsulated within a crystal-clear glass. The effect is luminous and fluid, creating the illusion of motion suspended in time, while its colors transform with every angle and reflection. Vase weighs approximately 1.75 pounds, no chips or cracks. Mouth opening approximately 1.5 inches. Vase can be used as both a vessel and as a sculptural focal point. Perfect for display on a pedestal, console, or on shelving. Signature and date(12/2004) by artist etched on bottom.
