Handblown M167 Unica Vase By A.D. Copier For Glasfabriek Leerdam, 1930s

About the Item

A Unica glass vase by the Dutch glass artist A.D. Copier for glasfabriek Leerdam Unica M serie 167 made in 1931-1932. A.D, Copeir is the biggest glass artist the Netherlands has had and lived from 1901 to 1991. This hand-blown vase is a unique one, which means that only one was made. Every Unica is therefore unique. The M series is from 1931/32, this period is also his experimental phase. He tries out all kinds of new techniques with different materials. In this case he has chosen an organic shape in an amber color, the shape reminds me of a sea shell, with encapsulated pieces of silver paper. An intriguing vase that you can't stop looking at and is beautiful in the light. What is even more unique is that the original unique label is still present, which you rarely see. The vase is signed and marked with A.D Copier M167, Leerdam Unica.
