About the Item
Just a lovely and unique vase in a shiny brown/golden crystalline glaze designed by the contemporary Swedish artist Isak Isaksson in his own studio. When light hits it, the glaze sparkles. The vase is 15 cm (6") high and in mint condition. Isak is one of the most well known contemporary ceramic artists in Sweden.
Isak Isaksson was born in 1949 and is one of Sweden´s leading contemporary ceramic artists. Isak has become a master in throwing and a specially in glazing. Isak has been exhibit numerous of times all over the world and in 2019 he received the title of certified ceramic master – the highest recognition in Swedish pottery. He is a master of the crystalline glazes which makes his artworks really unique. Isak is the only westerner who has received the Sen Hounzai Soshitsu Prize in Japan for his chawan.
