About the Item

An antique Japanese early Meiji vase, most likely copper, decorated with cloisonne enamel and attributed to Honda Yasaburo, active circa 1870s - 1910. The elongated vase features a narrow neck, the exterior is decorated with polychrome cloisonne enamel and depicts a finely detailed scene of a stormy sea with high waves and flying cranes on flecked brown ground.
