Mesmerizing Japanese contemporary museum-quality decorative porcelain vase, painstakingly intricately hand painted in black, blue and red Set against a stunning globular background in black , a signed masterpiece by second-generation master porcelain artist of the Imari-Arita region of Japan, highly acclaimed for his painstakingly detailed portrayal of historical scenes and themes combined with intricate geometric patterns and this stunning piece is a testimony to his mastery in both styles. In 2016 the British museum added a piece by this artist to its collection of contemporary Japanese Porcelain in the Imari-Arita polychrome overgraze tradition. The artist is the recipient of prestigous awards for his extremely intricate miniature flower motifs, his magnificent shapes and patterns and his extraordinary signature landscape scenes in blue underglaze. He faithfully depicts in great detail this stunning scene from Japan's countryside in different hues of underglaze blue, framed by cherry blossoms in full bloom against a serene moon-let sky. He exhibits excellence in both underglaze and polychrome overglaze techniques in this breathtaking piece. The rim and base are decorated with his signature intricate pattern to add another layer of elegance to this memorable piece. This extraordinary hand painted porcelain vase comes in a custom-made wooden case signed by the artist. Dimensions: H 10 in. D 8.5 in.
