About the Item

This handsome Meiji vase is boldly painted and gilt in Imari colors. Exotic birds feast on the hanging fruit in a flowering and blossom filled-landscape. The rim is frilled and the body is of baluster form and hand-thrown. It reads like an enchanting story.
