About the Item

Kaj Franck is known for his functional, simple designs that are often referred to as the ‘conscience of Finland’, and his products are characterised by their use of colour without any decoration. However, he also left behind a large number of unique glass art pieces that make use of a wide variety of techniques. It has the same form as the N540 art piece produced between 1972 and 1978, but this is a unique piece with a different colour variation to the usual one. The top layer is made of clear glass with a champagne gold metallic material, the middle layer is clear, and the bottom layer is clear glass with tiny air bubbles. Signed 'Kaj Franck Nuutajärvi Notsjö'.
