Large Mid-Century Sterling Silver Flower Vase By Tuttle

Fabulous, large, sterling silver flower vase by Tuttle Silversmiths, Boston, Mass., made during the U.S. Presidency of Lyndon Baines Johnson - 1963-1969- as indicated by the initials L.B.J enclosed in a crescent moon on the underside of the vase. The Tuttle Company was known for year-dating many of its pieces his way. The underside of the vase bears its original paper tag which states that the vase is made of heavy sterling silver. The vase measures 12 inches high x 6 inches diameter across its opening x 4 1/2 inches diameter across its base. The vase weighs 29.770 Troy ounces. Graceful, fluted design. The vase is a highly collectible piece. There are a few very minor dints on the top fluted rim (see photos) which are commensurate with age and use. Dark areas in photos on sterling silver are reflections. In very good antique condition.
