A Large Riessner, Stellmacher & Kessel large Amphora vase decorated with water lilies; attributed to Paul Dachsel, Turn-Teplitz, Bohemia; c. 1903; neck of vase with stems of leaves forming four small gilt handles; four large gilt stem handles on body below; vibrant glazes of gold, blue, pink and green; base with impressed crown mark, "Amphora" in oval, "Austria" in oval, and "3942 / 50"; Biography: See "Monsters and Maidens", Vreeland, p. 196 and "Ceramics from the House of Amphora 1890-1915", R. Scott, p 141. 18 inches (45.8cm) Tall by 10 inches (25.5cm) Wide.
