Lily Flower Pot by Flétta

About the Item

The lily flower Pot by Flétta Dimensions: 54.5 x 40 cm Materials: white marble, gold Trophy is a collection of tables, lights, flowerpots and shelves made of old trophies collected from athletes and sports clubs in Iceland. Trophies are a part of big moments in people’s lives, achievements, and memories. They tell a story of countless hours and strenuous exercises. They are made for a moment, when they are lifted up in triumph. Designers Birta Rós Brynjólfsdóttir and Hrefna Sigurðardóttir founded Flétta in 2018 but have been working together since 2014. Both with backgrounds in product design from Iceland University of the Arts, they bring a high degree of conceptual and process innovation to their works using mundane or often overlooked products and materials. Their practice revolves around responsible design, utilizing reused materials and local production with evident respect for craftsmanship and storytelling.
